Getting started

You can register for your Sahal account for FREE at any center of Golis in the country.

Step 1: Fill the registration form.

To fill the registration form you will have to provide:-

  • Personal details (mobile no, first name, last name)
  • Identification document (passport, ID)
  • Passport size photo

You will receive a confirmation that the registration is successful.

Golis  will send you an SMS confirming that the registration has been successful. Activate your Sahal using the ’4-digit Start Key’ sent to you by Golis Telecom;

  1. Dial *888# then press OK.
  2. Enter the ‘Start Key’ (4-digit number received from Golis)

 After that, you have activated successful.

How to use

Deposit money in your Sahal account at one of the Golis Centers.

  • Give the salesman the amount you wish to deposit.
  • Provide your mobile number.
  • Both of you will receive an SMS from Sahal Service confirming the transaction

Withdraw money from any Golis center/store.




  • Confirm the Store has sufficient funds for your transaction.
  • Dial *888# then press OK
  • Enter your PIN number(4 digit key)
  • Select ‘Withdrawal’
  • Enter the Store number, then the amount you wish to withdraw.
  • You will receive a screen with the above transaction details. Confirm they are correct then Press OK.
  • You will receive an SMS confirming the transaction.
  • The Store person will then give you the cash and request you to sign a Log book which is a record of Sahal transactions done in that store.

Easily pay for goods and services anywhere.

  • From the dial pad click *884*account number*amount#
  • Confirm the merchant name and insert your PIN.
  • Receive confirmation message with transaction ID.

Pay your water, electricity and other bills from your SAHAL

  • Ensure you have sufficient funds in your Sahal account to cover the amount you are paying.
  • Dial *888# then press OK
  • Enter your PIN number(4 digit key)
  • Select ‘Pay Bill’ from your Sahal menu
  • Enter ‘business number’ of the company you are paying to*
  • Enter the ‘account number’ of the bill you wish to pay for*
  • Enter the amount you wish to pay (between US$ 1 – US$ 2,000)
  • Enter your Sahal PIN
  • Confirm details are correct and press OK

Purchase airtime US$ 0. 25 – US$ 100 for your phone or another Golis subscriber.




  • Dial *888# then press OK
  • Enter your PIN number(4 digit key)
  • Select ‘Buy airtime
  • Select whether you want to top up on yourself or another subscriber.
  • Enter mobile phone number of the phone you are buying airtime for.
  • Enter amount of airtime you wish to buy.
  • Confirm the details when you make sure that the transaction is correct, then press OK.
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS from Sahal.


  • Dial *881#
  • Enter PIN
  • Wait for SMS confirmation with your balance amount.


  • Dial *888# then press OK
  • Select show balance
  • Enter your secret PIN
  • Wait for SMS confirmation message with your balance amount.


For security reasons, customers can change their PIN at any time with no cost.

  • From the Sahal menu select “My Account”
  • Select “Change PIN”
  • Enter old PIN press OK
  • Enter new PIN and confirm it
  • Wait for the confirmation.

You can choose which language to use for your Sahal:

  • From the Sahal menu select “My account”
  • Select “Language”
  • Choose from Somali or English
  • Language successful changed.

You can report Sahal  if your mobile is lost:

  • From the Sahal menu select “My account”
  • Select “Report Lost”.
  • Enter Lost Number.
  • Enter Lost number PIN
  • Successful reported.
